Handicap

It reflects the player's skill level, allowing players of different levels to compete fairly.

A handicap is a system that allows players of different levels to compete in official competitions on equal terms. It is a numerical index that reflects your level of play and is recalculated based on your results on the course. The lower the handicap, the higher the level of play.

Exact EGA handicaps are divided into six handicap categories:

Handicap Category
Exact Handicap
EGA

handicap competition
1 ≤4,4
2 4.5 – 11.4
3 11.5–18.4
4 18.5 – 26.4
Superior Handicap 5 26.5–36
6 36.1 – 54

The federative license with handicap can only be processed by the Balearic Golf Federation or the Clubs in the following cases:

case conditions / requirements
Individuals who previously held a license with a disability and were deregistered To obtain a new license, they must confirm the handicap they had (or lower) when they withdrew. To grant them a higher handicap, their Club or Armed Forces Committee must justify it using the Assessment Form.
Golfers from another country You must prove your handicap with a certificate or copy of your handicap card from your country of origin.
APPLICATION FROM THE FBG OFFICES The Club Competition Committee or a licensed professional (indicating their license number) must give prior notice of the request.

In order to obtain a first competition handicap, federation members must have acquired sufficient preparation and must pass the tests established by the Competition Committees of each Club or the FBG.

Once activated, your handicap will be recorded on your federation license. You can access and view your federation file via the RFEG website.
